you guys are simply amazing, i was about 9 when shaun of the dead came out, and i was a total chicken i couldn't watch anything, but i finally watched shaun of the dead and hot fuzz, and i even watch all the episodes of spaced yesterday =) i thought it was amazing, very funny and i love shaun of the dead and hot fuzz. u guys are all geniuses and all very funny.

This looks like a shit full of talented people having an amazing time. It's great to see Pegg, Frost, Hader, Bateman, Weaver, Lo Truglio, Wigg, Lynch... agh.. ass kissing hand cramp.. Anyway, amazing cast! Looking forward to the flick. I got a question for Mottola: As a fellow Long Islander, i completely missed out on Adventureland when it was released. As i look forward to the dvd, i've been curious... Are the bantering tree and owl from the haunted house in there? Those animatronic bast'ads always had a special place in my heart

Dear RpDub,
Alas I was not able to recreate the tree & owl from Farmingdale's Adventureland. Because that park has been renovated so greatly since the 1980s, I had to shoot the film elsewhere (I ultimately settled on Kennywood in Pittsburgh, PA). Adventureland was a low budget movie, much smaller than PAUL, so I had to give up various things, like setting the movie on Long Island (its cheaper to shoot in Pennsylvania -- tax rebates!). Hopefully though I did catch some of the cheesy grandeur of Adventureland from back in the day. If nothing else, I was able to explore my love/hate relationship with Falco and synthesizer-heavy pop music in general.

About the Film

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America’s UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever.

For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base.
